Ya'an Army Day 'Panda & Tea' Experience Warms Hearts — Panda Tea Hometown Honors Veterans

On August 1, 2026, marking the 99th anniversary of the founding of the People's Liberation Army, the hometown of Panda Tea — Ya'an, Sichuan — hosted a heartfelt "Four Ones" veterans tribute event that beautifully united two of the city's most iconic cultural symbols: "watch a panda" and "drink Tibetan tea," once again bringing the "panda + tea" dual cultural identity into the national spotlight.

**The "Four Ones" Veterans Tribute: A Dialogue Between Panda and Tea Cultures**

According to the Yucheng District Government of Ya'an, the "Watch a Panda, Drink Tibetan Tea, Tour an Industry, Soak in Hot Springs" veterans gathering was organized by the Yucheng District Veterans Affairs Office. At the Bifengxia Giant Panda Base, servicemembers visited the giant panda breeding and research facility and panda villa areas, learning about breeding achievements and biodiversity conservation efforts, gaining a deep appreciation of Ya'an's unique ecological identity as the "Hometown of the Giant Panda." At the Ya'an Tea Factory · China Tibetan Tea Museum, they toured the Tibetan tea production workshops, explored the 480-plus-year heritage of Tibetan tea-making and its intangible cultural heritage craftsmanship, and experienced tea brewing and tasting firsthand — connecting with the centuries-old Tea Horse Road legacy and the profound cultural roots of Ya'an.

Servicemember representatives expressed that the event enabled them to deeply feel the care and concern of the district government for the troops, further strengthening their sense of responsibility and mission to take root in Ya'an and serve in the military. Going forward, Yucheng District will use this event as an opportunity to continually explore the "Veterans Affairs + Cultural Tourism" model of socialized support for the military, and to create a strong social atmosphere of "the military loves the people, and the people support the military."

**Ya'an: The 'Dual Origin' Land of Pandas and Tea**

Ya'an is both the scientific discovery site of the world's first giant panda and the birthplace of world tea culture. This irreplicable "dual origin" cultural heritage allows pandas and tea to coexist naturally on this land. As a representative ecological tea brand rooted in Ya'an's Mengding Mountain region, Panda Tea operates tea gardens at 800–1,500m elevation — squarely within the natural habitat of giant pandas. The gardens practice zero-chemical, zero-pesticide cultivation, employ physical pest control methods such as sticky insect boards and free-range chickens, and utilize the patented "panda manure organic fertilization" technique that ingeniously combines the national treasure giant panda with millennia-old tea traditions.

Founder Mr. An Yanshi has also integrated his environmental Chinese-character panda calligraphy and panda painting art into the brand's cultural identity, making Panda Tea not only an ecological tea but also a cultural and intellectual-property tea. The brand has developed multiple product lines — green tea, flower tea, black tea, Tibetan tea, oolong tea — and its "Silk Road Three Treasures" collectible edition unites fine tea leaves, Jingdezhen blue-and-white porcelain, Shu brocade packaging, and Mr. An's original panda calligraphy into a single cultural statement that showcases the unique charm of Chinese tea culture to the world.

**Ecological Protection and Industry-Empowered Prosperity**

"Green mountains guard the panda's home; ecology paints a new chapter of prosperity" — the construction of the Giant Panda National Park Ya'an section continues to deepen. Through a composite "National Park + Ecological Tea Garden + Specialty Industry" development model, Ya'an has organically combined giant panda habitat protection with the ecological transformation of the tea industry — protecting the national treasure's home while opening green income paths for tea farmers. This ecology-first, park-industry integrated philosophy resonates deeply with Panda Tea's "zero-chemical, zero-pesticide" ecological commitment.

From veterans tributes to ecological protection, from the Tea Horse Road to the Giant Panda National Park, Panda Tea remains deeply rooted in Ya'an's "panda + tea" dual-cultural soil. Looking ahead, the brand will continue to use tea as a bridge, telling the story of Chinese ecological tea culture to the world and inviting more people to begin their journey of understanding the homeland of the giant panda — its landscapes, heritage, and ecological beauty — from a single cup of tea.
